Heidi Gutekunst and Ute Bock took part last week in an event organized by Women Automotive Network about personal and vertical development.
The speakers discussed the concept of action logics, which are ways of thinking and responding to the world based on a person’s developmental level. Each action logic represents a different way of making sense of the world and taking action in it, with more advanced logics allowing for greater complexity, flexibility, and adaptability.
The speakers also discussed the concept of “learning in action,” which is a process of ongoing learning and development that occurs through reflection on experience. This involves taking action, observing the results, reflecting on those results, and then adjusting future actions based on those reflections. This process can lead to deeper self-awareness and more effective decision-making.
Gutekunst and Bock also share personal stories and research on how power, feedback, and collaboration transform as we grow and develop vertically. They emphasise the importance of tapping into one’s inner power, receiving feedback from others, and collaborating with others towards achieving goals in order to continue developing.
There was also an exchange of ideas regarding the concept of learning-in-action, which involves engaging in reflective practices and actively seeking feedback from others to grow and develop. By taking action and reflecting on the outcomes, we can learn from our experiences and continuously improve our thinking and problem-solving abilities.
