How does inquiry enable leaders to initiate and facilitate transformation, in themselves and in their organisations?

In this webinar we will hear the inspiring story of one of Amara’s founders Bill Torbert, as he shares parts of his own developmental journey. A central theme in his development and the transformations he has facilitated, is inquiry, especially the practice of Action Inquiry, which we use widely in our work in Amara. In the webinar we’ll get to hear more about Action Inquiry from Bill, and learn practical ways of supporting transformation through inquiry. You will be invited to practice Action Inquiry: not only listen, but also to notice your own thoughts and reactions, share your ideas with other participants and join into the conversation.

Bill has spent his career leading, consulting, teaching, and researching in the area of organisational and psychological development. Torbert’s theory of adult development, the Global Leadership Profile is widely recognised, measuring a person’s current leadership capacity. He has also written one of the top ten leadership articles in the history of the Harvard Business Review – ‘Seven Transformations of Leadership’ (2005).

By signing up to the webinar, you’ll take part in the raffle for a copy of Bill’s recent book, Numbskull – the theatre or inquiry. The book is a memoir of his life of discovering and enacting a theory and practice of leadership development, organisation development, and scientific development.

Amara Collaboration works with individuals and organisations that are facing needs for change and transformation on individual, team and organisational/systemic level. Our approach is grounded but not limited to constructive developmental theory and Action Inquiry, to date the only approach statistically reliable generating both personal and organisational transformation, the life work of one of Amara’s co-founders Bill Torbert. We walk beside and meet people, teams and organisations where they are and develop a uniquely safe space that is fertile for development and bring wide perspectives from the decades of experience in top leadership, facilitation, coaching and consultancy.
